I’ve always joked around how I don’t want to be the one on duty when they find a dead body in the building. Tonight, some officers just came into work. They walked to the desk briskly, and one of them says “we’re here about the body on the third floor.”

My eyes got huge and my heart started beating really fast. I had literally just started my shift and hadn’t read the duty log. They looked at me expectantly, waiting. I think a croaked something about calling the RA on duty to see what room number it was. Then, one of the officer starts laughing and goes “AHHA! Just kidding! We are here to use the bathroom!”

All I can say is holy shit, that was a perfect prank. Long enough to have me believing, short enough to not cause mental damage. Touche campus police, touche.
